# Using Widgets and Notification Center on macOS Tahoe

The Notification Center in macOS Tahoe is your hub for catching up on alerts and accessing bite-sized information through Widgets. It slides out from the right side of the screen, keeping your desktop clutter-free.

## Accessing Notification Center

There are two ways to reveal the Notification Center:

1.  **Click**: Click the **Date and Time** in the top-right corner of the Menu Bar.
2.  **Gesture**: Swipe **left** with two fingers from the very right edge of your trackpad.

## Managing Notifications

Notifications appear at the top of the view.

*   **Grouped**: Notifications are stacked by app. Click a stack to expand it.
*   **Actions**: Hover over a notification to see options. You can often reply to messages or delete emails directly from the alert.
*   **Clear All**: Click the **X** button next to the "Notifications" header to clear all alerts at once.

## Using Widgets

Below your notifications, you will find your Widgets. These provide quick glances at information like Weather, Calendar, Stocks, and Reminders.

### Interacting with Widgets
*   **Click**: Clicking a widget usually opens the corresponding app.
*   **Interactive Widgets**: Some widgets (like Reminders or Home) allow you to check off items or toggle lights directly without opening the app.

### Customizing Widgets

To add, remove, or rearrange widgets:

1.  Scroll to the bottom of the Notification Center and click **Edit Widgets**.
2.  **Add**: The widget gallery will appear. Search for an app or browse categories. Drag a widget onto your Notification Center.
3.  **Remove**: Click the **-** (minus) button on a widget to remove it.
4.  **Resize**: Some widgets come in Small, Medium, and Large sizes. You can choose the size before adding it, or right-click an existing widget to change its size.
5.  **iPhone Widgets**: You can add widgets from apps installed on your iPhone, even if the app isn't installed on your Mac (requires your iPhone to be nearby and on the same Wi-Fi).

### Desktop Widgets

In macOS Tahoe, you aren't limited to the Notification Center. You can drag widgets directly onto your Desktop.

1.  Open the Notification Center.
2.  Click and drag a widget out onto your wallpaper.
3.  It will snap to a grid.
4.  **Right-click** your Desktop and select **Edit Widgets** to open the gallery and add widgets directly to the desktop.
